Message Hi every one,

Well...

The problem was mine: I did not change the access rights on the repository of the server for the group (750 instead of 770) so I -as the owner- could submit but not the people of my group...

I hope it might help anyone in the future!

Ciao!

I have never seen this before. I have no idea where it comes from.
Using google I found this one:

http://flyingseagull.de/2008/8/4/collab-net-subversion-1-5-osx-problems
and
http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2008-02/0255.shtml

I'm not sure what the problem really is (SALS or openssl) but updating openssl
seems to fix it for some people.

On MacOSX Subcommander uses the openssl that comes with the os. On Windows the
openssl dlls come with the Subcommander installer. Not sure which version is in
the installer, I have to check this.

If it is an older version I can re-build Subversion/Subcommander with a newer
version and you could try if that helps.

Message Good morning | afternoon | evening,

In my team, we are using subversion with different environments but we all have the same error (see below) when we try commiting.

Configuration:
Server:
ubuntu server 8.04:
  SVN 1.4.6

Clients:
Mac OS X leopard:
  subcommander 2.0.0 (r2225M) B4

Windows XP:
  subcommander 2.0.0 (r2397M, release) B5

Windows 2000:
tortoiseSVN (which works, but often ask for updation)

Communication is based on SVN+SSH and I think the configuration is correct because:
 - with tortoise it works
 - with subcommander: checkout / compare / history, ... works .

I thought that it could have been because of server / clients compatiility reasons but before updating my server, I wanted some other opinions.

The error message is:
error (subversion) Commit failed (details follow): Cannot negotiate authentication mechanism.

Tank you in advance for your consideration.

Romain
