Subcommander 2.0.0 Beta 4 (Windows, MacOSX, Source)

The next Beta. There is still a lot of work but I recommend to use b4 instead of 1.2 now. It has reached a point were it is clearly better than 1.2.

The official Subcommander binaries are built against subversion 1.5.1, a source build requires subversion 1.4.5(!) or better in the 1.4.x line or 1.5.1 in the 1.5.x line. 1.5.0 will not work because it has a backward compatibility bug.

  • new: added a simple dialog for creating a local subversion repository.
  • new: [#214], warn on commit to a 'tag' url.
  • changed: switch single working copy view between flat and tree mode.
  • changed: do not auto refresh after canceling a commit.
  • changed: improved performance of commit items list in commit dialog.
  • changed: [#225], improved performance of changed items list in log dialog.
  • changed: re-implemented repository view (moved from qt3 to qt4).
  • changed: trigger working copy rename only when the item was changed.
  • fixed: item flags in commit dialog, only one flag was shown.
  • fixed: improved working copy view stability.
  • fixed: restoring window size & position does no longer move the window.
  • build: fixed gcc 4.1.x compile errors and warnings.
  • ... and a lot of general code improvements on the working copy view code.

submerge

  • changed: set last diff position after a refresh so the "diff scrolling" does not jump back to the first diff.
  • fixed: [#228], left and right curved diff connection painting when merging.
  • fixed: restoring window size & position does no longer move the window.

Subcommander 1.2.4 with subversion 1.5.1 (Windows)

I have created Subcommander 1.2.4 windows binaries build with subversion 1.5.1. No fixes, nothing new, just a new build. This is a Win32 installer release only.

Unfortunately i can't build MacOSX binaries of 1.2 anymore. Qt 3.3 does not build on Leopard (10.5). But 2.0.0b4 is not far away :)

The official Subcommander binaries are built against subversion 1.5.1, a source build requires subversion 1.2.0 or better. It does not work with 1.5.0 which has a backward compatibility bug that is fixed in 1.5.1.

Subcommander 2.0.0 Beta 3 (Windows, MacOSX, Source)

Another 2.0.0 Beta, it is getting better :)

The official Subcommander binaries are built against subversion 1.4.6, a source build requires subversion 1.4.5(!) or better.

Subcommander 1.2.4 (Windows)

This is a Win32 installer release only. It fixes a purely Windows specific issue.

The official Subcommander binaries are built against subversion 1.4.6, a source build requires subversion 1.2.0 or better.

Subcommander 1.2.3 (Windows, Source)

This is only a source and Win32 installer release. It just adds a build fix for gcc 4.3 and a few other fixes that were already included in the MacOSX specific 1.2.2+ release.

The official Subcommander binaries are built against subversion 1.4.6, a source build requires subversion 1.2.0 or better.

  • fixed: fixed gcc 4.3 build by removing the use of ancient header files.
  • fixed: [Issue 181] fixed parsing of more than 10 bookmark.
  • fixed: fixed an endless loop in the log dialog code with paths that contain multi byte characters.
  • fixed: remove hackish tool button menu handling, hopefully fixing the "menu doesn't close" issue when selecting revisions.
  • changed: improved build, simpler moc generation. (If you get strange moc (errors after make clean re-configure, maybe that was not really an improvement..).

Subcommander 2.0.0 Beta 2 (Windows)

Another snapshot of ongoing development. While BETA 1 was still based on qt3, BETA 2 is now based on qt4. So there may be some things that work better in BETA 1 than in BETA 2. Apart from that BETA 2 can do a few things that were not available in BETA 1. Maybe a small advantage for BETA 2. ;)

Subcommander 2.0.0 Beta 1 (Windows, MacOSX)

This is a snapshot of ongoing development and does not have all features off the current 1.2.2 release.

Here is a short overview of the new features:

  • new: simultaneous flat and tree view for working copies (tabs)
  • new: automatic refresh after wc operations like add, revert, rename etc.
  • new: reload will (recursively) refresh only the selected folder and not the whole working copy.
  • new: deep status info in tree view (a folders has a '*' in the ds (deep status) column if anything below it is changed)
  • new: back/forward navigation (also in repository browser)
  • new: switch all/ignored options without reload
  • new: toolbar buttons for common operations
  • new: project setup wizard

Limitations/Todo:

  • The repository browser is usable to browse the repository but does not support any operations on the repository.
  • main menus are (mostly) unavailable.

Subcommander 1.2.2+

This is a MacOSX universal build of 1.2.2 wit a few bug fixes and a chinese translation. The binaries are built against subversion 1.4.2, a build from source requires subversion 1.2.0 or better.

Since i don't own an intel based MacOSX machine i would appreciate some feedback if it is running. Thanks.
